Cost to Attend Flight School in Texas
How much does school cost in Texas? We break down the complete cost of flight training from private pilot through commercial through instructor. The cost varies between domestic pilots and international pilots. It also varies based on which ratings and certificates you want to earn. Your regular and consistent attendance and completion of flight lessons is critical to your success.
Training Options at the Addison Campus
- Full-time Flight Training: 5 days per week, up to 2 activities per day
- Part-time Flight Training: Full flexibility. Recommend scheduling a minimum of 3 to 4 times weekly to maintain proficiency. Less than this can severely limit your progress.
How long is flight school in Texas?
Again, this varies with every student based on attendance and ability. On average, it takes approximately 3 months to complete your PPL. Next, you’ll earning your Instrument Rating, which takes around 2 months. After that, your commercial pilot license (CSEL) will take another 2 months. Most US flight students go on to earn their CFI and CFII in order to work as a flight instructor. Your best approach is to focus and study! This is what our top students do.
