Epic student life is high energy and positive! We welcome and encourage spiring pilots to join the Epic family to pursue your professional pilot dreams. Epic is honored to have trained thousands of successful aviators of different genders, races, religions, and cultural backgrounds since we began flight training in 1999. Our goal is to ensure that all of our students feel appreciated and respected. We are proud to have trained students from 110+ countries.
Appreciation Events
We frequently host Student & Staff Appreciation events. Celebrating friendship over food is something everyone looks forward to, and we often schedule games and other fun activities. At Epic, you’ll make friendships that will last a lifetime.
Supplementary English Proficiency Tutoring
At times, we find that our non-native English speakers have a difficult time understanding English. The initial ground school course includes technical language, and learning new concepts in a foreign language can be very challenging. Support is available to assist these students with improving their English. We can help you find an English tutor while you attend Ground School in order to continue training progress. Your success is our success, and we are here to help!
Student Housing Accommodations & Transportation
Relocating to another state or country for flight training can be a stressful process for students and a major concern for parents. This is why we have created easy, affordable solutions for our students. Epic Flight Academy offers safe, well-maintained, apartment-style housing for students training in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In addition, we offer consistent shuttle transportation to and from the flight academy and shopping centers by trained Epic employees. We reserve our rental facilities for our students only, and there is also nearby housing in New Smyrna Beach. In fact, we share housing information for all of our locations.
Resources at Epic
Students can access information and various necessary forms online. You will also have an online Learning Management System during your time at Epic. Education policies are available online.
The EVB campus has a store on site where students can purchase aviation supplies and snacks. If you need something, please ask! We are here to support you during your training on your way to becoming a professional airline pilot or aircraft mechanic.
Student Advocate
If students are experiencing difficulties, they can work with Student Advocate Phyllis Cunniffe. Simply email Phyllis to set up a time to talk. Phyllis can suggest solutions and help students access the resources they need. You can also share experiences or ask for help through our Epic Cares initiative.
Student Account
If you would like to add funds to an existing student’s account, you may do so at Student Account Payments.
Local Area Entertainment & Weekend Activities
Having a safe, clean environment promotes learning and growth, which is why all of our campuses are maintained to the highest standards. After studying, we know students need to relax. We expect our students to make their aviation training a top priority, but we also encourage them to make lasting connections with their classmates and mentors and enjoy extracurricular activities as well.
For each of our locations, we share local entertainment information. Although you’ll spend most of your time studying and flight training, you will have plenty of time to have a little fun while you train at Epic no matter which campus you attend.
