Student Diversity & Appreciation

We welcome and encourage qualified, dedicated aspiring pilots to join the Epic family and pursue their professional pilot dreams here with us at our award-winning flight training school. We are honored to have provided a pathway for thousands of successful aviators of different genders, races, religions, and cultural backgrounds since we began flight training in 1999. We strive to ensure that all of our students feel appreciated and respected, and we are proud to have students from 80+ countries across the world. We even host monthly Student & Staff Appreciation events.

Occurring monthly, our flight school hosts events to honor our student successes throughout their journey to achieve their professional pilot dreams. Often awarding scholarships, and recognizing top performing students each month, we love celebrating the determination of all of our aspiring pilots. Appreciation events include our annual summer bar-b-q, tacos, ice cream sundae bar, and more!

Supplementary English Proficiency Courses

At times, we find that our non-native English speakers arrive and have a difficult time comprehending their initial ground school course, as learning new concepts in a foreign language can be very challenging. We offer support to assist these students in expanding their knowledge and comfort with speaking, reading, and writing in English. English tutoring can be taken in addition to Ground School in order to continue training progress, and they integrate aeronautical familiarization to guarantee students are prepared to achieve their aviation goals.

Student Housing Accommodations & Transportation

We understand that relocating to another country for flight training can be a stressful process for students and a major concern for parents, which is why our Admissions Team and Housing Director have created easy, affordable solutions to take this weight off of your shoulders. Epic Flight Academy offers safe, well-maintained, apartment-style living arrangements for students. In addition, we offer consistent shuttle transportation to and from the flight academy and shopping centers by trained Epic employees. We reserve our rental facilities for international students and encourage our domestic (U.S.) students to look for nearby housing.

Resources at Epic

Students can access information and various forms here. Students will also have a Schoology account during their time at Epic. There is a store on site where students can purchase aviation supplies and snacks.

Local Area Entertainment & Weekend Activities

At Epic Flight Academy we believe that having a safe, clean environment promotes learning and growth, which is why we are strategically located on Florida’s east coast at New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport. While we intend for our students to make their pilot training a top priority, we also encourage them to make lasting connections with their classmates and mentors, and enjoy all that the Central Florida area has to offer.

Just miles from the beach, students are able to take off and get a bird’s-eye view of coastline in minutes. The local historic Flagler Avenue welcomes opportunities to soak up some sun, and experience a multitude of arts, music, and food festivals. Standing out among flight schools worldwide, Epic Flight Academy’s ideal location provides spectacular training weather and breathtaking views, making the flight training experience the top choice for students since 1999. You will find all kinds of things to do in New Smyrna Beach and surrounding areas like Daytona Beach and Orlando while you attend flight school.

Learn how to become an airline pilot while enjoying a wide variety of exciting activities, such as surfing, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, skydiving, lighthouse tours, and more. Travel a few minutes north, and students can enjoy the world famous Daytona Beach, where exciting events like Bike Week and Formula 1 racing occur. Travel south, and students will find NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, featuring a launch simulator, museum, hands-on exploratory center, and actual rocket launches. Take a short drive to the west and students will find themselves in Orlando: home of Disney World, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, and more.
