How much do pilots earn in Brazil?
That’s a good question and one you should know the answer to before you commit to flight training. Airline pilot salaries vary for many reasons, such as the airline, the pilot’s experience and ratings, etc. Pilot wages in Brazil are paid in Brazilian Real, which equals .25 in U.S. dollars. In 2019, the top pilot annual salary in Brazil is approximately 232,416 BRL. (That would equal $58,104 in USD.) The median commercial pilot salary is 155,460 BRL, meaning 50% of Brazilian pilots earn more, and 50% earn less. To give you an idea of how experience affects pay, pilots with less than two years of experience can expect to be paid approximately $81,732 BRL annually ($20,433 USD). However, a pilot with 5 to 10 years of experience would be paid $127,020 BRL ($31,755). These ranges reflect years of experience, but it is also wise to research the airline for whom you’d like to fly.
