FEAM Maintenance / Engineering Tuition Assitance and Hiring Program

In 2022, FEAM Maintenance / Engineering and Epic Flight Academy announced the first program of its kind in which FEAM offers financial assistance during aircraft mechanic training.

What is the FEAM Program?

The program invites Epic’s aircraft mechanic students to apply for tuition reimbursement and employment with FEAM Maintenance / Engineering upon completion of the program. FEAM will provide $7,500 in financial assistance the first year and an additional $7,500 the second year to students accepted into the program. These students will have the opportunity to work with FEAM for 3 years and longer if desired.

How do I apply for the FEAM Program?

Aircraft mechanic classes at Epic start three times per year. The program runs for 24 months. Students need to apply a minimum of one month in advance to secure their spot. You can apply during your enrollment process at Epic. Both Epic and FEAM will interview you prior to being accepted. FEAM emphasizes the importance of time spent working in one of their facilities. This allows students to gain real world experience and knowledge to help them excel.

How do I find out if I’m qualified to train as an aircraft mechanic?

The requirements to enroll in Epic’s Aircraft Mechanic Program are:

• First of all, you must be 18 years old by completion of the program.
• Also, you must pass an entry level exam online.
• Additionally, you must speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Finally, you must complete an interview with Epic personnel. (We are screening for determination, ability, and reliability.)

What are my next steps?

First, you should verify your eligibility. Next, an Epic representative will assist you in applying to the FEAM Program and answer all of your questions. Once you’re accepted, FEAM will provide tuition assistance totaling $15,000 over two years. They will also ensure employment for three years or longer.

Why was the FEAM Program started?

Just like the pilot shortage, there is a severe aircraft mechanic shortage.
