Graduation for Aircraft Mechanics
Aircraft mechanic students who began their studies on May 31, 2022 graduated on February 8, 2024. We send heartfelt congratulations to these hardworking students who are now ready to embark on new careers!

We also welcomed a new class of aircraft mechanic students (below) last month who are currently in their general technician course. If you’re considering a career as an aircraft mechanic, you can check your eligibility in minutes.
New Flight Students in February
We also welcomed new flight students to our New Smyrna Beach campus last month. Our Ocala, Tallahassee, Tucson, and Jacksonville campuses also grew in enrollment. We are busy and hiring new flight instructors as enrollment continues to increase. Stop by any of our campuses and take a Discovery Flight and tour!
CVG Aircraft Mechanic School Update
We recently welcomed registered students for a tour of our new aircraft mechanic school at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Epic staff members are on site getting everything prepared for our first class! We would love to welcome you to our inaugural class in April! You can prequalify in minutes.
Epic Alumni News: Career Updates
Congratulations to Lauren Hensel who will begin her new role of Captain later this month flying the B737 for American Airlines! We also congratulate Anthony Vansell who is a Captain flying the King Air 350 for West Coast Charters. He recently achieved 2,000 flight hours! And we send a shoutout to Tyler Smith, a First Officer flying the A320/A321 for Frontier Airlines! We love sharing updates of Epic alumni! If you’re an Epic graduate, please send us an update!
Silver Airways Partnership
Representatives from Silver Airways met with pilots at our New Smyrna Beach campus last month to announce our new partnership in the Sterling pilot pathway program. We are excited for our pilots to make the most of this career opportunity!
We also welcomed Piedmont Airlines to our Aircraft Mechanic School last month. Piedmont is recruiting mechanics for various locations.
Employee Updates
The Epic family is growing! We welcomed Flight Instructors Kyle Fenton, Michael Davenport, Abdelrahman Dafaalla, John Saba, Tyler Schutz, Adrian Vinueza, Lexi Martin-Nammour, Daiana Ayala, Brett Farley, Madison Seymour, and Sean Wertz to the New Smyrna Beach (EVB) campus, Alan Hobson and Tobias Budd to Tucson (TUS), and Seth Conway to Ocala (OCF). We also welcomed Dwaine Johnson in Ground Support and Morgan Sebald in Scheduling.
Scholarship Opportunity for U.S. Students
The Astronauts Memorial Foundation, in partnership with Epic Flight Academy, is providing one student a full scholarship to Epic’s Aircraft Mechanic Program. The scholarship covers tuition and materials for the 19-month program, valued at $45,000. The deadline to apply is March 8, 2024.
All applicants must be either a 2023 or 2024 U.S. high school graduate. The winner must attend the 2024 College and Career Readiness Event at the Center for Space Education on March 15, 2024. This event hosts high school (grade 9-12) students at Kennedy Space Center. They attend an aerospace and technology-focused conference where they can learn step-by-step how to effectively network, make connections in the industry, and explore career opportunities along both academic and trade routes.
This event will include: a college/career readiness exhibit hall, workshops/breakout sessions, panel discussions from industry employees, and a keynote speech. Participating organizations include: NASA, Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, UCF, SpaceX, Embraer, and more! Attendance of this event includes complimentary admission into the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
