Republic Airways Program
Representatives from Republic Airways visited campus recently to speak to Epic pilots about the new Republic Airways and Epic Flight Academy Career Pipeline Interview Program. Republic Airways Campus Recruiter Bradley Murphy said, “We’re thrilled to establish this partnership with Epic Flight Academy to hire their best to become Republic Airways Pilots, Cadets and Ambassadors. We’re proud to see Epic alumni enter our flight decks, and this partnership will allow that pipeline to grow over the years to come.”
The program provides an opportunity for Epic pilots to become candidates for pilot positions during their training period. The program increases Republic Airways’ access to qualified applicants and increases employment opportunities for Epic graduates. One more exciting opportunity!
New Flight Students
Welcome to our newest class of pilots! They have been working hard in ground school and flight training, and their hard work is paying off!
New Aircraft Mechanic Students
Welcome to our new class of aircraft mechanic students who began their training this week. In just 19 months, we’ll be celebrating their graduation! Are you ready to find out if you’re eligible? It only takes a few minutes. Our next class will begin September 26th.
Polk State College Reps Visit Mechanics
Representatives from Polk State College visited with Epic’s aircraft mechanic students to answer questions about our partnership. When you complete your A&P license at Epic, you can transfer that to PSC for 30 credit hours toward an AS degree in Aviation Maintenance Administration. We also have a partnership with Daytona State College for our flight students. Although a college degree is not always necessary for a pilot or aircraft mechanic position, having one can give you an edge in the hiring process.
June Special for International Flight Students
International flight students can receive a special discount when they bring a friend to flight school. Traveling to the U.S. for flight school is more fun when you bring a friend! In June, Epic is offering a “Buddy System” Special when you enroll in flight school with a friend. Both students will receive a $5,000 credit and free Private Pilot Ground School.
International students who enroll with a friend, with both paying their application fees between June 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022, are eligible for this special. You must enroll and begin training no later than December 1, 2022.

From top left clockwise: Cris Gammill was recently hired to fly with Delta Air Lines; Mhayyar Alnabhany now flies the Bombardier Dash8 Q400 for Air Tanzania as a First Officer; Josean Marquez Lozada is now a Captain at PSA Airlines; Reachta Lim is a First Officer flying the Airbus 320 family for Cambodia Angkor Air; Tyler Rokosny passed his simulator checkride and Is now officially qualified to fly the Embraer 190 for JetBlue; Andrew McCarthy is flying the Embraer 175 as a First Officer for Republic Airways; Shawn Chen is now flying with Envoy Air; and Captain Mils Thindwa recently earned his G V type-rating, flying the Gulfstream G550 as a corporate pilot.

Aircraft Mechanic Scholarship
Congratulations to Christian Vega at NeoCity Academy in Kissimmee, Florida! We were thrilled to award Christian a $25,000 scholarship to attend the Aircraft Mechanic Program here at Epic. He will begin his training in September. Thanks to Jon Luck and Shayna McCalla (left) for representing Epic!
Special Visitors
We were proud to welcome friends and collaborators from Microsoft and The Astronauts Memorial Foundation last month. Epic staff gave them a tour of campus, which included some time In a flight simulator! With a talented group like this, anything can happen! Air Wisconsin to Visit
