Epic Partners with United Airlines to Offer Aviate Program
At a press conference on January 11, 2022, we announced our new partnership with United Airlines. United staff, Epic staff, and New Smyrna Beach Mayor Russ Owen were on hand to announce the launch of the Aviate Program at Epic Flight Academy.
We had an excellent turnout for the event, and Epic graduates are already applying to the program, which offers the most direct path to a United Airlines flight deck.

FEAM Maintenance Partners with Epic’s Aircraft Mechanic Program
FEAM Maintenance / Engineering and Epic have partnered to provide a direct pathway to employment and tuition assistance. FEAM has been in business for 30 years and employs more than 1,000 people at 31 locations. Students accepted into the Epic-FEAM Program will be provided $7,500 in financial assistance the first year and an additional $7,500 the second year and have the opportunity to work with FEAM for 3 years and longer if desired. Read the full details of the program to learn more.
If you think school should be more hands-on, you’ll love Epic’s Aircraft Mechanic Program! Hitting the books means grabbing your toolbox and getting to work as these current Epic students are doing in their basic electrical classes.
Our next class begins on February 7th. Will you be there?
Epic in the News
The news of our new Aviate Program was covered by Aviation Pros, AFM Aero, Centre for Aviation, Hometown News Volusia, Yahoo! Finance, and many other news outlets.
Welcome to Epic’s Newest Staff Members
We welcomed six new faces to Epic in January! Welcome to flight instructors Thomas Bean, Jack Durrani, Christian Cunanan, and Peter Forde Sanchez. We also want to welcome Linda Bee, Social Media/Alumni Coordinator and Juana Martinez-Caamano, Recruiter. What great additions to the team!
Epic Alumni Spotlight
Epic has trained thousands of airline pilots who fly for various airlines around the world, and there’s nothing we love more than hearing their success stories. We recently heard from Zakaria Gamal who did his flight training at Epic. Zakaria is a First Officer flying the Boeing 737-800 NG for Egyptair. Zakaria said, “I am so blessed to have fulfilled my childhood dream. Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way. Thanks to my flight school, Epic Flight Academy.”
Congratulations, Zakaria! You worked hard to achieve your goals. We wish you beautiful blue skies!
Check Rides
Congratulations to these Epic Flight Academy students who passed check rides on their first attempt in January! We salute you!
