New Smyrna Beach, FL – Epic Flight Academy is honored to announce Captain John Evans of Endeavor Air will be on site February 27, 2020, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to represent Endeavor Air during a Pilot Career Seminar.

“We are thrilled to welcome John back to the Epic campus,” said Danny Perna, owner and CEO of Epic. “His is a great success story, and we’re eager to have him share with Epic staff and students. As a member of our management team, John demonstrated great leadership skills, and we are proud of his career advancement.”

Pilot Career Seminar

Epic frequently invites airlines to host Pilot Career Seminars that are attended by flight students and flight instructors. “These seminars are a great way for our CFIs to connect with various airlines” said Epic COO Josh Rawlins. “Once they have built their 1,500 hours of flight time, they are eager to become airline pilots. We are happy to not only provide initial flight training but also job opportunities as instructors that lead them to the airlines.”

About Endeavor Air

Endeavor Air is the only wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Endeavor Air employs nearly 5,000 employees in ten states. This summer, Endeavor Air will continue to be the largest operator of the CRJ-900 in the world, following acquisition of the last of 27 CRJs in their planned expansion.

They will also be opening a new crew base at the CVG airport, bringing their total of crew bases to five (NYC, ATL, DTW, CVG, MSP).

Offering the highest hourly wage in the regional industry, Endeavor Air First Officers can expect to earn $66,000 or more in their first year, and $103,000 or more after upgrading to Captain.

“Endeavor Air also offers the only guaranteed interview with Delta Air Lines via its DGI program,” said Captain Evans. “After serving 18 months as Captain with Endeavor, our pilots are guaranteed to interview with Delta Air Lines.” He also noted they must meet all of Delta’s hiring minimums.

Recently announced enhancements to the DGI are designed to increase the success rate of Endeavor applicants by eliminating the Job Knowledge Test and improving scoring during the HR interview portion. Endeavor Air is also the only airline to offer in-house interview prep for the Delta interview.
