Epic Establishes Flight School at Tucson International Airport
We’re excited to announce the opening of another Epic flight school satellite location, this time in Tucson, Arizona. We are tentatively planning an Open House on October 27th. Watch for details in next month’s Buzz!

CVG Airport Construction Update
Our new Aircraft Mechanic training facility at CVG Airport is really coming along! Students have already started enrolling for our spring 2024 classes. Check your eligibility and reserve your seat now! Pratt & Whitney representatives (below) recently visited our New Smyrna Beach aircraft mechanic school as did Piedmont Airlines to share hiring information. Career opportunities abound!
Aviation at Burns Sci-Tech
Epic flight instructor Jeff Knipe is also teaching the Aviation Pilot Program at Burns Science and Technology Charter School in Oak Hill. The goal of the course is to inspire the students to pursue aviation as a lifelong career. He works with 24 students teaching what is essentially a private pilot ground school with three flight simulator stations.

Epic graduates always have great career news! Congratulations to Alvaro Cordero who is now a Captain at RyanAir! We also learned that Anthony Vansell of West Coast Charters has been promoted to Captain. Cory Schoaf is now a First Officer at Delta Air Lines, and Por Por Tanaboriboon is a pilot and aircraft manager at TNK Logistics flying the DA62. Congratulations to these four exceptional pilots!

Epic Out and About
Last month Epic reps hit the road again! Dana McGowen and Tyler Prenesti represented Epic at the College of Central Florida Career Expo. Shiang Lu and Tyren Wilson caught up with a lot of Epic graduates in LaBace, Brazil, including Elizabeth Heim, a First Officer with Azul Airlines, João Vitor (2019 grad) and Guilherme El Hadi (2018 grad) who manages Magnolia Cubs. And lastly, Shiang and Mike Thompson worked with Epic grad Marco Arbage, a First Officer at Azul Airlines, at MRO Brazil 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We love being on the road, especially when we reconnect with Epic graduates!
