Dr. Cindy Lovell is an educator and writer. She has held tenured faculty positions at two universities. She also served as executive director of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum in Hannibal and the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford. As Epic’s Director of Education, she oversees accreditation. She is the liaison for the Daytona State College and Polk State College programs, creates Epic’s web content and newsletters, oversees English tutoring, handles press inquiries and social media, and coordinates judging for annual scholarships. Cindy is the chair on the TESA Academy Advisory Committee and serves on the Education Committee for the SEV Chamber of Commerce. She earned her BA and MA from Stetson University and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. In 2020, Cindy co-authored Linguistics for K-12 Classroom Application. In 2021, she co-edited the 4th edition of Preparing the Way: Teaching ELs in the Pre-K – 12 Classroom. And, in 2023, she co-authored The Big Book of ESOL Activities: Preparation for Educators, Administrators, and School Counselors.
