Thank you for sharing your story and goals with us. Yes, we do accept international students with zero flying experience, and many of our students begin their training the same way. What matters most is your dedication, motivation, and willingness to learn. Regarding finances, we understand that flight training is a major investment. International students on an M-1 student visa are not permitted to work in the United States during their training, so students are responsible for covering their own training and living expenses. However, many students complete training step-by-step at their own pace and plan their finances carefully before beginning the program.

The application fee is $495 USD. This covers several items:

2. I-20 SEVIS generating fee(this is the document needed to apply for the M-1 VISA)
3 Document Shipping feeAlso, our Airline Pilot Program for international students takes you through all the training necessary to become a professional pilot under FAA standards. International students on an M-1 visa are not permitted to work off-campus while studying. Employment is generally not allowed during your training program. You should plan to have sufficient financial support for the duration of your studies. Please note that Epic Flight Academy is not a university; we are a vocational flight school offering FAA-approved pilot training programs, so we do not evaluate or transfer academic college units or determine year-level standing. For international students, we provide flight training under an M-1 visa, which does not include OPT; however, we do offer a structured pathway where students can progress from CPL to CFI/CFII within our program. Great question! Living about an hour away is definitely doable, but we recommend planning carefully since flight training schedules can change due to weather and aircraft availability. As long as you stay flexible and allow extra time for commuting, many students manage it successfully, but living closer can make things more convenient and help you stay on track. Yes. You do not pay the full tuition upfront. Instead, you start with $6,700 for the first tuition payment plus $1,500 for books, tools, and the first FAA written exam, for a total initial payment of $8,200. After that, you pay $6,700 per course, with four courses remaining.
