If you are in training or just got started, and are thinking about going to the airlines, how do you know if the airlines are going to continue to be on this hiring spree? I am not asking for answer, but more or less, asking to give some input and guidance since I have been in the business for over 40 years and have a lot to share.

    Hello Airschulte,

I apologize for the very late reply. While the role of pilots may evolve with technology today especially with AI technology fast approaching, the need for skilled pilots will continue to drive. Human intelligence is still the best tool to ensure safe as well as efficient flight operations. This only means that there is nothing to worry about the demand for pilots now and in the future.

Thank you for participating in our forum! Have a wonderful day.

    Regards,

What factors should a new pilot consider to assess whether airlines will continue hiring in the coming years?
