    Hello Teejayz,

    – What is the structure of the training program, and how long does it typically take to complete?

Our Airline Pilot Program for international students takes you through all the training necessary to become a professional pilot under FAA standards. For international students, it takes approximately 7 months to complete the training. https://epicflightacademy.com/international-pilot-pathway/

    – What aircraft are used for training, and how often will I have access to them?

We have Cessna 172s, equipped with the G1000 glass cockpit and twin-engine Piper Seminoles/PA-44. https://epicflightacademy.com/epic-fleet/
You’ll have flying activities each day or depending on your level of training.

    – Are there ground school classes in addition to flight training?

The course includes ground lesson, simulator, and actual flight training.

    – How are flight hours logged and tracked?

Calculating flying hours is usually done through a pilot logbook, where pilots record their flight activities. Normally, the time the aircraft takes to move then the time it spends on the runway all count towards flight time.

    – What are the tuition fees and any additional costs (books, materials, equipment, exam fees, etc.)?

Our Airline Pilot Program for international students takes you through all the training necessary to become a professional pilot under FAA standards. For international students, tuition is $72,663.00, and it takes approximately 7 months to complete the training. https://epicflightacademy.com/international-pilot-pathway/

This includes of Private Pilot Course (3 Months), Instrument Rating (2 Months), and Commercial Pilot Course (2 Months). Non-tuition cost like housing is not included.

Please check here for the full cost breakdown, https://epicflightacademy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/international-csel-aug-2023.pdf

    – Are there financing or scholarship opportunities available?

Unfortunately, scholarships and financing are not available for international students at this time. But we do have a section with suggestions to help you secure funding for attending Epic Flight Academy. Please check here: https://epicflightacademy.com/flight-school-financing-international/

    – Is there a refund policy if I need to withdraw from the program?

Yes. Unused funds from your ETA account can be refunded.

    – How does the school ensure the safety of its students and aircraft?

Epic maintains liability insurance through Old Republic Insurance Company whose financial strength rating is A+, which is considered Superior. At Epic we emphasize “Safety first!” above everything and mitigate risk by hiring first rate flight instructors and maintaining our fleet with all new replacement parts.

    – What is the maintenance schedule for the training aircraft?

Our safety record is second to none. We are a Cessna Service Center, with our own certified technicians who pride themselves on top notch service and attention to detail. This means we always put safety first. If you walk through our maintenance hangar, you will see Epic planes in for scheduled maintenance, as well as those of private pilots and other flight schools who use our service.

    – What is the student-to-instructor ratio, and will I have access to personalized instruction?

Epic Flight Academy is extremely proud of our student-to-instructor ratio. We typically enroll between 200 and 250 students on campus at any given time and employ approximately 70 to 75 flight instructors, many of whom trained right here at Epic. This means we keep our student-to-instructor ratio at approximately 3 or 4 students per instructor ensuring a high degree of personalized instruction. You will never be just a face or a number at Epic.

    – Does the school offer housing options?

Yes. We have housing just 10 minutes away from the campus. Accommodation is $800 per month for a shared room with free transportation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1tN2_FdLiw

    – What is the school’s graduation rate, and do they have a track record of successful students?

Yes. We currently have an 85% pass rate.

    – Does the school offer job placement assistance or connections to aviation industry opportunities?

Unfortunately, none. Hiring is ultimately up to the efforts of the individual. Many Epic students from outside of the US will return to their home country to seek employment once they have completed their pilot training at Epic Flight Academy. Every airline has its own set of hiring requirements, and we encourage our students to review a particular airline’s hiring requirements before applying for a First Officer or Captain position.

Here is an article on hiring requirements for airlines around the world: https://epicflightacademy.com/commercial-airline-hiring-requirements/

    – What are the prerequisites for enrolling in the flight school?

To become a trained airline pilot at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, USA you must:
    1) Be at least 17 years of age
    2) Speak English proficiently
    3) International students must have a valid passport (Passport information: https://epicflightacademy.com/passports/) or two other forms of identification if you are from the USA
    4) Completed high school or secondary education (Grades don’t matter, only that you completed school.)

    – What types of pilot licenses or certifications can I obtain through the school?

You will obtain Private pilot license, Instrument rating and Commercial pilot license after our program.

    – Can I continue advanced training with the school, such as obtaining an airline transport pilot certificate

Unfortunately, we do not do any ATP-CTP here. We partner with Simulator Center LLC. The course includes 32 hours of classroom training followed by 10 hours of flight simulator training. Conveniently, it is offered in the Orlando, Florida area.

    – Are there support services available, such as academic advising, counseling, or tutoring?

We provide English support. Epic Flight Academy requires flight students to proficiently speak, read, write, and understand English upon arrival in flight school. This is one way we ensure you complete your flight training as efficiently as possible. However, occasionally our students need our support in understanding Aviation English, so we do offer English Tutoring Course on a case by case basis.
