I’m a bit confused about two segments of training which are aeronautical engineering and aircraft mechanics are these training carry the same thing or different categories?

Aeronautical engineers work with aircraft. They are involved primarily in designing aircraft and propulsion systems and in studying the aerodynamic performance of aircraft and construction materials. They work with the theory, technology, and practice of flight within the Earth’s atmosphere. While aircraft mechanics typically do the following: Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems. Repair wings, brakes, electrical systems, and other aircraft components. Replace defective parts, using hand tools or power tools.
