Some felony convictions disqualify students and graduates from earning A&P mechanic/AMT certification and employment while others do not. FAA regulations prevent trainees with recent drug or alcohol convictions from applying for certification for up to one year. Those with convictions not related to drugs or alcohol may still be eligible for training, certification, and employment. For more information, please contact FAA directly.
