Epic Fleet Grows Again

Epic Fleet of Cessnas and Beechcraft
The Epic fleet continues to expand with Cessnas, Beechcraft, and simulators available for flight student training.

New Smyrna Beach, FL – Epic is proud to announce its fleet is growing yet again. With 18 aircraft and a flight simulator, student pilots have many options when taking to the sky. Epic recently took delivery of its 12th Cessna 172SP Skyhawk. Owner Danny Perna said, “In only our fifth year of business as a flight school we are proud to have grown from one aircraft to eighteen. As our enrollment continues to grow, so will our fleet.”

The current fleet is comprised of the following:

Cessna 172R Skyhawk

Epic’s two Cessna 172Rs, first produced in 1997, are a great compromise between the smaller economical 152 and the faster, more advanced Cessna 172SP. They have 4 seats, 160 horsepower and all the avionics you’ll need for instrument navigation.

Cessna 172SP Skyhawk

Students will be pleased to find 12 of the nicest aircraft ever bulit on Epic’s ramp. Whether earning a private license, instrument rating, time building or just flying for fun, the Cessna 172SP is the ultimate training aircraft. Combining a more powerful 180 horsepower engine with moving map GPS, autopilot and leather seats, you won’t want to fly anything else! All of Epic’s SPs are 2001 models and are in excellent condition.

Cessna 172RG Cutlass

With retraceable landing gear, a constant speed prop, and flaps, the Cessna 172RG is a complex aircraft that is a joy to fly.

Cessna 182T Skylane

This brand new Cessna 182T will cruise at 144 Knots and carry 1,300 pounds. Leather seats, 235 horsepower, GPS, and stormscope.

Beechcraft Twin Duchess

The Twin Duchess is an excellent aircraft for all of your twin-engine needs.

AST Hawk Level 3 Flight Simulator

Epic’s state of the art flight simulator, the AST HAWK, can be utilized for every license and rating Epic offers. Simulators offer a much less expensive alternative to flying aircraft, but the technology is so good pilots often forget they are still on the ground. Two video screens, force feedback, an instructor station, and the ability to be configured as a single or twin make this an incredibly versatile flight simulator.

Cessna 152

Epic’s Cessna 152 is a 2 seat 110 horsepower aircraft. It is primarily used for obtaining a private license and time building.
