Mitchell shared this career update with us in 2024:

“Getting my PPL through Epic’s Scholarship still has been one of my most memorable and biggest learning experiences. While I haven’t progressed further in my pilot training, I still am heavily involved in aviation. After obtaining my PPL and graduating high school in 2018, I went on to Georgia Tech to further my education. At Georgia Tech, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2022. During this time, I was involved with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Flying Club where I was able to continue to explore my passion for aviation. I also was a member of the Georgia Tech Baseball Data Analytics Team. Beyond school and extracurriculars, I also participated in 2 internships, one at Delta Air Lines in their Performance Engineering Group, and one at Sikorsky working in Flight Test Engineering for the CH-53K and Raider-X programs. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 2022, I was able to continue in my career in aviation and began working at Boeing, which is where I still am today. At Boeing, I work within the propulsion group in Charleston, South Carolina. I support the B-52J CERP program doing structural analysis, but have also supported the 777X program for structural dynamics testing. Getting my PPL at Epic was one of the very beginning steps in my career in aviation and it undoubtedly laid the foundation for everything that came after. I am super thankful for the opportunities and learning experiences that have stemmed from Epic and wouldn’t be where I am today without them!”
