Originally from Frisco, Texas, Ashlyn moved to Florida in 2021 to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, where she set her sights on becoming an airline pilot. While at Embry-Riddle, she began her journey with Epic Flight Academy as a dispatcher at the New Smyrna Beach location. She fell in love with Epic’s unique culture and friendly atmosphere, was promoted to Lead Dispatcher, and felt her perspective on aviation begin to shift.
In the fall of 2024, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, minors in Airline Operations and Meteorology and an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. She also earned her Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating through a small Part 61 flight school in Daytona Beach. Although initially focused on an airline career, Ashlyn realized she found greater fulfillment supporting students from behind the scenes. This realization led her to join Epic’s administrative team as a Satellite Operations Assistant based at Epic’s Addison, Texas location -back in her home state!
Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities like pickleball, biking, and running. She plans to pursue additional flight certificates and looks forward to playing a small, but meaningful, role in our students’ aviation journeys.
