New Smyrna Beach, FL – Epic Flight Academy recently took delivery of three brand new Cessna 172 Skyhawks from the Cessna factory in Independence, Kansas. The new aircraft expand the Epic fleet yet again to ensure flight students have ample access to new equipment.

“We find it’s a good investment to always purchase brand new aircraft,” said CEO Danny Perna. “The Cessna Skyhawk is the safest single-engine aircraft manufactured, and we have always used them. The G1000 Next Generation avionics prepare our students for the sophisticated cockpits of the commercial airlines.”

The Epic maintenance department will apply one last feature to the planes before they take to the skies.

“The Epic fleet is known for its distinctive red tails,” said COO Josh Rawlins. “Before new aircraft go on the flight schedule, our maintenance department will first paint the tails bright red. This is an added safety feature to make our planes even more visible during flight.”

Epic’s fleet includes five flight simulators and various aircraft, such as the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Piper PA-44 Seminole, and Beechcraft King Air B200.
