Santiago trained as a recreational pilot at Epic and had this to say:

“While I may not have pursued aviation as a career, my flight training has given me a lot of insight into how things work. I have been able to apply these principles to my work both as a clinician and as a scientist.

“At any rate, aviation by itself is lots of fun!”
