Will the VA pay for my Private Pilot’s License training?

FAQ » » Will the VA pay for my Private Pilot’s License training?

The VA won’t pay for your Private Pilot’s License (PPL) because it is considered “recreational” training rather than vocational training. Once you receive your PPL and pass the medical certification, then you may use your G.I. Bill benefits for flight training provided you have remaining benefits and can provide a Certificate of Eligibility.

Please note that currently the GI Bill is not supporting flight training.
