As you may know, the pilot shortage is ongoing, and we know that some airlines require pilots to not only have logged thousands of hours in the cockpit, but also to have earned a college degree. This program offers flight training, an opportunity to work at Epic as a Certified Flight Instructor to build hours, and coursework at an accredited state college.
Additionally, Daytona State College and Epic Flight Academy are located in close proximity to one another – just 13 miles apart. Although many airlines do not require a college degree, having one can make your application even stronger when applying for commercial airline pilot jobs. Also, should you ever develop a health problem that ends your flying career, you will be glad you have a college degree should you need to make a career change.
