Volume 7, Issue 1 | January 2024 Six New Cessnas Arrived in December The Epic fleet grew last month as we took delivery of six brand new Cessna Skyhawks at our New Smyrna Beach campus. Epic pilots picked up the new planes at the Cessna factory in Independence, Kansas and flew them to Florida. Next, our maintenance department will paint the tails red, and our students will enjoy training in these excellent aircraft! Seven high school students received a total of $80,000 in scholarships. New Smyrna Beach Mayor Fred Cleveland presented the awards on behalf of Epic. Robert Brown and Orion Maka each won $20,000 for aircraft mechanic training. Volume 6, Issue 11 | November 2023 Grand Opening at New Tucson, Arizona Flight School Epic hosted a grand opening at its third satellite flight school location at the Tucson International Airport on Oct. 27, 2023. The Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce joined Epic staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and CommuteAir pilots brought in an Embraer ERJ-145 jet for the occasion. The press and public turned out for discovery flights, food and fun.
