Epic Launches Part 141 Schools in Colorado and Utah
On June 21, 2025, Epic Flight Academy cut the ribbon at its Englewood, Colorado flight school near Denver, and one week later cut the ribbon during the grand opening at St. George, Utah. Danny Perna, founder and CEO, said, “We’ve never opened two flight schools within a week of each other, but everything lined up perfectly. The folks at the Centennial Airport and the St. George Regional Airport really stepped up to welcome us. Also, Brock Rees, Epic’s director of satellite operation put together a great team at both sites, and we are already training pilots. It’s been a great experience.”
Next month, Epic will hold a ribbon-cutting at Tuscaloosa National Airport on August 29th followed by the grand opening on August 30th. We are also hosting an Open House at our CVG Aircraft Mechanic School on July 19th. You’re invited!
Aircraft Mechanic Students Graduate in New Smyrna Beach
Congratulations to our latest class of Aircraft Mechanic graduates! On June 12th, friends and families joined us to celebrate these hard-working students who graduated from Epic’s FAA Part 147 A&P Program in New Smyrna Beach (EVB). We are incredibly proud of them and wish them all the best in the bright careers that await them.

Epic Alumni News: Career Updates
We love sharing alumni updates! Congratulations to Epic graduate Thanh Toan Huynh who is now a First Officer at VietJet Air! He earned his PPL, IR, and CMEL here at Epic.
Congratulations to Epic graduate Anthony Padilla who flies the SD3-60 for Air Cargo Carrier as a First Officer! Anthony earned his instrument rating, commercial single-engine, and commercial multi-engine at Epic, and we’re so proud of his journey!
Hisham Zohary and Ian Slentz are First Officers at Southern Airways Express, and both successfully flowed through Epic’s Airline Direct program, which gave them this opportunity. We congratulate them as well on another great achievement!
