Siyuan “Ben” is a certified flight instructor with a background in science and engineering. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Xidian University in China and spent a year abroad as an exchange student at Aalto University in Finland before moving to the United States. There, he completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, where he also worked as a research assistant. During that time, Ben decided it was finally the right moment to chase his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot.
He began training at Epic Flight Academy and completed all of his certificates here, from Private Pilot through CFI and CFII. Now, as an instructor, Ben is passionate about sharing what he’s learned and guiding students as they grow into confident, professional and safe pilots. Outside of flying, he enjoys cooking, gaming, and watching horror movies.
