Ruth Z. West Phillips was born and raised in Meghalaya, India. Ruth is the first female pilot of Meghalaya. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation from Liberty University in Virginia. After a few years’ break, Ruth decided that Epic Flight Academy was the right place and time to return to flying where she earned her CFI intending to complete CFII. Currently, Ruth is continuing her education for a Master’s in Human Factor in Aeronautics at Florida Institute of Technology.
In her spare time, Ruth loves to organize, cook, watch movies, and play golf with her husband. Most of all, Ruth values her beliefs, people, and time. She is humbly proud to be part of the Epic community and help others passionately strive for their ambitions and fulfill their purpose.
