Laurie Elliott is Epic’s Recruitment Manager. She joined the Epic team in 2019, after working 8 years for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. At ERAU, she worked as an online academic advisor and then as a project manager in Career Services. She gained her love for aviation working as a flight attendant for Northwest/Delta Airlines and her love for education while working as an English language program coordinator at Daytona State College. Some of her other career highlights include providing behavioral therapy for patients with traumatic brain injuries, working as an addictions specialist/crisis line coordinator, and serving as associate director with the Michigan Prisoner Re-entry Program.
Laurie was born and raised in Flint, MI. She spent much of her adult life in Howell, Michigan before permanently relocating to Daytona Beach. Laurie and her husband, Bob, have 6 children and 9 grandchildren. They love traveling, but also enjoy all the wonderful things that the Daytona Beach area has to offer. So, staying home is not a bad option! Their weekends often include paddleboarding on the Halifax while looking for manatees and dolphins.
Laurie earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Management degree from ERAU.
