Halis Atahan Cildir was born in Ankara, Türkiye. He grew up in an aviation family. Seeing his father and uncle in their pilot uniforms sparked the love of aviation in his world while he was a child. Both his father and uncle are Captains for Turkish Airlines flying wide body aircraft — the B777 & A350.
Following their lead, Halis and his cousins decided to become pilots too. Halis’ wife, Victoria, is also an airline pilot.
