
Carissa is an aviation professional with a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology from Cincinnati State and a Bachelor’s in Strategic Organizational Leadership with a minor in Business Administration from Wilmington College.
Her passion for aviation began in high school through the Civil Air Patrol, inspiring her to pursue a career in the field. She started with a co-op in Fleet Maintenance and Aircraft Conformity at a local charter company, contributing to aircraft certification processes. She later held roles such as Aircraft Deicer and Safety Coordinator at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), ensuring aircraft safety and readiness in winter conditions.
Dedicated to mentoring, Carissa enjoys guiding students exploring aviation careers. She is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and inspiring future aviation professionals.
Outside of work, she enjoys writing, reading, video games, documentaries, collecting sports memorabilia, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. At Epic Flight Academy, Carissa brings a unique combination of hands-on experience, leadership, and a passion for education to support both the aviation industry and student success.
