Aurora was originally born in Texas, and at age 11 moved to Idaho. She took her first discovery flight in Idaho in 2018 and fell in love with aviation. She got on her local flight school’s waiting list but never heard back. In 2021 she and her parents picked up and moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she completed her senior year. Once she graduated, she moved here to sunny New Smyrna Beach to start her aviation journey with Epic Flight Academy.
Aurora has done everything from her first solo to CFII here at Epic. If Aurora is not at school, she is typically at home curled up with a good book or playing Minecraft. She also enjoys shark teeth and shell hunting whenever she can get over to Venice Beach, FL. Aurora has two cats, Mel and Truffles, who also take up a majority of her time.
She is currently working on a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide. Her dream is to work for either Delta or American flying internationally, but for now, she is more than happy to be instructing and building lasting relationships with her students and coworkers.
