Asa was born and raised in Vermont; he decided to pursue aviation after getting an undergraduate degree in creative writing. Asa received the majority of his training at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, obtaining PPL, IRA, CSEL, CFI, and CFII. He now works as an instructor at the Denver – Centennial Field campus, and his goal is to be an air-tanker pilot. In his free time he enjoys hiking, painting, and playing games with friends.
