Duke Shepherd is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. After serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he attended college in Hawaii, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Business Management. While his education prepared him for a traditional career, Duke quickly realized the office setting wasn’t for him. A discovery flight sparked a passion for aviation that set him on a new path. He completed his Private Pilot License training in Salt Lake City, then went on to earn his Instrument Rating, Commercial Single-Engine License, and both CFI and CFII certifications at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
When he’s not flying, Duke can be found in the gym, on the river with a fishing rod in hand, or out playing a round of disc golf.
