The maximum altitudes along our 3-month national tour would not exceed 10,000 MSL. It was not likely we would be using the Cirrus oxygen system according to oxygen requirements when flying 12,500 MSL for over 30 minutes as stated in FAR 91.211. Epic Flight Academy Announces 2018 Aviation Scholarship Winners and Billfish Bash Winners Hundreds of aviators and aviation enthusiasts were in attendance for Epic Flight Academy’s 3rd Annual Aviation Scholarship and Billfish Bash on Saturday, November 17th as two young aviators were awarded scholarships and offshore fishing tournament teams were recognized. Florida high school students are invited to apply for the scholarships each year. To date, Epic Flight Academy has awarded $70,000 in scholarships. The event combines fishing with flying as anglers participate in the two-day Billfish Bash tournament to raise funds to support young aviators. Pilot Jobs Shortage of Pilots Begins

Is the shortage of pilots that was forecasted and anticipated for the future here already? Where are the pilots? Wall Street Journal’s News Hub video series reported on Feb. 3, 2014 that airlines have already had to cut regional flights due to lack of pilots. Over the weekend United Airlines announced that it cut 60% of departures from Cleveland because the their affiliate that flies out of Cleveland couldn’t fill pilot jobs and it is a less busy hub anyway.
