Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will support the Human Resources department in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all HR-related tasks. This role involves a combination of administrative duties, employee support, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare HR documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and employee handbooks.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, and HR events.

Recruitment Assistance:

  • Post job openings on internal and external platforms.
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding the status of their applications.

Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and setup for new employees.
  • Assist in exit interviews and offboarding documentation.

Employee Support:

  • Respond to employee inquiries about HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving minor employee concerns or escalating them to HR leadership.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Monitor and track time-off requests, attendance, and other employee records.

Training and Development Support:

  • Coordinate employee training sessions and workshops.
  • Maintain training records and assist with scheduling.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR-related role preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
