KeymasterHello Butch,
No, you are not too old! In the United States, there is no maximum age limit to obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL). While airlines have a mandatory retirement age of 65, private flying is about your health and skill, not the number on your birth certificate. In fact, many people start flying in their 60s and 70s as a “second act” or to finally fulfill a lifelong dream.
While you will need to retake the written exam and pass a physical with an Aviation Medical Examiner, you can use this locator to search for the nearest AME in your area. https://www.faa.gov/pilots/amelocator/ You can absolutely begin flight training now to finally erase that regret and enjoy the skies.
To see if you qualify for this training, please complete this pre-qualification form: https://epicflightacademy.com/prequalification-enrollment/
