I am a naval engineer with 20 years of experience, can that help in aircraft training?

    Hi!

Military personnel who have received some aircraft mechanic training have three options.

    1. They can attend a college or university and get both a degree and an A&P certificate through schooling.
    2. They can attend an A&P school like Epic.
    3. They can take all of your information about your training to the FAA for approval to test. If you do that, you need FAA Forms 8400-3 and 8610-2 in order to test.

If former military members have all FAA forms completed with approval to test by the FAA, but they decide they want to attend Epic, they will not receive credit for training provided in the military. Epic cannot give credit just for classes attended. However, if they have tested and passed in either General, Airframe, or Powerplant, we could offer credit since they have passed the test.

    Thank you!
