I always wished to be a pilot but…

I always wished to be a pilot but never became a pilot. I am also a soil surveyor. I have been twice in USA for attending some conferences and professional training in GIS and GPS in natural resource mapping.
My question might surprise you hearing that an old man of 64 is showing interest in becoming a pilot and fly in the sky in rest of life serving the humankind. Yes, I am just retired from my university teaching job, and hold a PhD degree in Agricultural Science from Taiwan. I want to spend money for becoming a pilot now. I expect from you the real answer to “Does this man should go for the training at this age?”.
