ParticipantHow fast can i get all my certifications? what will my day look like? how much flying will i be doing? What is the quality of the learning/teaching? quality of the instructor’s? options to get the rest of my 1500 hours after getting my cfi? Why is epic a better option for me ( better than ATP).( I’m a dedicated person but feel like ATP values time over quality. I feel like learning to fly is something that should be done carefully and correctly.) Also I’m planning on going full time but am hoping the scheduling will be taken care of, is the program A slot by slot type of situation?

KeymasterHello,
Thank you for considering Epic Flight Academy! We appreciate that you are focused not only on completing your training efficiently, but also on receiving safe, thorough, and high-quality instruction.
For full-time students, the average training times are approximately 3 months for Private Pilot, 2 months for Instrument, 1.5 months for Commercial Single-Engine, and 1.5 months for Commercial Multi-Engine. CFI training can then be completed afterward. We also offer a Fast Track program for highly dedicated students, which is designed to complete Private, Instrument, and Commercial training in approximately 6 months.
As a full-time student, you can expect a structured schedule that includes flight training, simulator sessions, ground school, one-on-one instruction, and independent study. Full-time students are generally scheduled for at least two training activities per day, five days per week, and flight activities can take place Monday through Sunday depending on your instructor’s schedule. Your schedule is managed through Epic rather than requiring you to compete for individual flight slots on your own.
We place a strong emphasis on both safety and quality of training. Epic typically maintains a student-to-instructor ratio of approximately 3 to 4 students per instructor, which allows for personalized instruction. Many of our instructors also completed their own training here at Epic.
After earning your CFI and CFII, qualified graduates who are legally authorized to work in the United States may apply for paid flight instructor positions with Epic to build flight hours toward the 1,500-hour ATP requirement. Hiring is based on qualifications, performance, and available positions, so employment cannot be guaranteed. Epic also offers airline pathway and cadet opportunities with several airline partners.
Regarding Epic versus ATP, both schools have their own training structures and approaches, so we encourage you to compare them based on what is most important to you. At Epic, our goal is not simply to move students through training quickly; we emphasize structured training, personalized instruction, safety, proficiency, and preparing students to become professional pilots.
Based on your dedication and your plan to train full-time, we would be happy to have one of our Recruitment Specialists discuss the program and scheduling with you in greater detail.
