Hello, my name is Georgi, I am 18 years old, I am an EU citizen (Bulgaria).
I graduated from school and speak English. Everything is fine with my health, I was engaged in aircraft modeling. I know mathematics and physics well. I want to become a civil aviation pilot (airline pilot).
I want to undergo training in the USA and after that stay in the USA and work for, such as: American airlines, Hawaii airlines, DELTA airlines, Unite Airline.
How much does it cost to become an airline pilot (ATPL, FAA) at your flight school? how long does the training last? During my training, will I have 1,500 hours of flight time in order to be hired by an airline?
What types of aircraft do you teach to fly? After finishing school, what planes can I fly on for American airlines? will I be able to fly the Boeing 777 300-er?
Do you help EU citizens find employment with an airline? I know that to work for American airlines you need to have a work visa, green card or US citizenship.
Will the airline company give me a work visa so that I can work for them as a pilot? Do you have an EB-2 NIW Visa Pilot program to obtain a green card so that after graduation I can work for American airlines.
will the school help me obtain legal status and a work permit in America?

    Hello Georgi,

Hiring is ultimately up to the efforts of the individual. Many Epic students from outside of the US will return to their home country to seek employment once they have completed their pilot training at Epic Flight Academy. Every airline has its own set of hiring requirements, and we encourage our students to review a particular airline’s hiring requirements before applying for a First Officer or Captain position.

Here is an article on hiring requirements for airlines around the world: https://epicflightacademy.com/commercial-airline-hiring-requirements/

To become a trained airline pilot at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, USA you must:
    1) Be at least 17 years of age
    2) Speak English proficiently
    3) International students must have a valid passport (Passport information: https://epicflightacademy.com/passports/) or two other forms of identification if you are from the USA
    4) Completed high school or secondary education (Grades don’t matter, only that you completed school.)

For international students, we can train from zero experience to CPL. Our Airline Pilot Program for international students takes you through all the training necessary to become a professional pilot under FAA standards. For international students, tuition is $73,063.00, and it takes approximately 7 months to complete the training. https://epicflightacademy.com/international-pilot-pathway/

This includes of Private Pilot Course (3 Months), Instrument Rating (2 Months), and Commercial Pilot Course (2 Months). Non-tuition cost like housing is not included.

After your training here at Epic, you will finish with 250-300 flight hours depending on your country’s aviation authority requirements.
With that amount of time, you will be able to find corporate companies hiring low flight time pilots, that’s one of the ways you can build up your time.
You can also do time building here at Epic, but we would recommend that you do it while working in your country so you’ll earn while building up your flight hours.

We have Cessna 172s, equipped with the G1000 glass cockpit and twin-engine Piper Seminoles/PA-44. https://epicflightacademy.com/epic-fleet/

Earning a CPL at Epic Flight Academy does not automatically grant someone the authority to work in the United States.

To work in the United States, you must have one of the following:

    – A Permanent Resident Card (also known as a Green Card)
    – An Employment Authorization Document (work permit)
    or
    – An employment-related visa which allows you to work for a particular employer

Thank you for using our forum!
