Hello, my name is Enock. I am a 22-year-old aspiring pilot from Ghana, West Africa.

I would like to ask a few questions, if you don’t mind.

I come from a poor family, and becoming a pilot has been my biggest dream since I was young. Unfortunately, my family’s financial situation makes it impossible for me to afford flight training.

I wanted to ask if Epic Flight Academy offers any scholarships or financial assistance for international students like me.

Also, if I am able to complete my Private Pilot License at your academy, would it be possible to work for Epic Flight Academy afterward to earn money and pay for the rest of my flight training? I am more than willing to work hard and do everything I can to achieve my dream.

If this option is not available, could you please let me know if there are any other programs or opportunities that could help someone in my situation?

1. Scholarships for International Students
Epic Flight Academy does not offer scholarships or financial aid to international students, as our internal funds are strictly reserved for U.S. citizens. Furthermore, U.S. banks do not offer educational loans to non-citizens without a permanent American co-signer. 2. Working for Epic After a Private Pilot License
It is legally impossible to work for Epic or trade labor for tuition because your required M-1 student visa strictly prohibits all on-campus and off-campus employment. Additionally, the U.S. Embassy legally requires you to show certified bank statements proving you can already afford 100% of the training and living costs upfront before they will even grant you a visa.

3. Alternative Opportunities
Your best path is to look for fully funded airline cadet programs through major African carriers like Ethiopian Airlines, which periodically sponsor and train young talent in exchange for future employment. Alternatively, joining the Ghana Air Force offers a completely free, world-class route to earning your wings while building the heavy flight hours needed to transition to commercial airlines later.

Also, don’t ever give up on your dreams! Find a way to make it happen. We had one student from Papua New Guinea who told us he worked and saved his money for 13 years before he could begin flight training. Today he is a successful commercial pilot. Look for scholarships and loans, and don’t be afraid to work two or three jobs to save up for your education. If it’s really your dream, you can find a way to make it come true.
