Hello. My name is Andrea de Polo from Florence, Italy.

I contact you because my Italian son, Gregorio de Polo, which is 13 years old (born on year 2006) would like to become, when adult, a commercial pilot.
He would like to apply for study at your school/university.

Since we are are based in Italy, we have few questions for you:

1. what is the minimum age to enter into your programme?

2. we are NOT familiar with the US study system, so we do not know if you have high schools, middle school or what else before entering into a University…. Since our child is inly 13, we need to know at which age he can join your fyl study programme.

3. What is also the requirement to apply for your program since we do not have a US student visa yet?

4. what is also the requirement to be accepted by your school? There is an entrance exam to pass? which one? And does he need to take for example a TOEFL exame or something similar as his mother language is Italian? (is English is good but not perfect yet), and what is the minimum admission score?

Last but not least, we are coming to Florida this Summer, btw August 10 and August 22. So in case our talk is poductive and soon he might apply for your programme, it will be great to fix in advance a meeting to visit your school this coming August.

Here are the answers to your questions:

1. what is the minimum age to enter into your programme?
Answer: To become a trained airline pilot at Epic Flight Academy in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, USA you must be 17 years old and above.

2. we are NOT familiar with the US study system, so we do not know if you have high schools, middle school or what else before entering into a University…. Since our child is inly 13, we need to know at which age he can join your fyl study programme.
Answer: Your son must finish high school or secondary education. (Grades don’t matter, only that he completed school.)

3. What is also the requirement to apply for your program since we do not have a US student visa yet?
Answer: Your son must possess an M1 Visa. We help in processing an M1 visa. We will provide you with the necessary paperwork for your visa and will assist you step by step throughout your process.

4. what is also the requirement to be accepted by your school? There is an entrance exam to pass? which one? And does he need to take for example a TOEFL exame or something similar as his mother language is Italian? (is English is good but not perfect yet), and what is the minimum admission score?
Answer: Your son should be able to speak English proficiently but TOEFL is not required. However, we do have online English training to see if his level of English qualify to attend flight training with us. And international students must have a valid passport.
