Hello! I hope you are doing well.
I am currently an F-1 student at the University of Arizona and am considering transferring from the university to a full-time flight training program at Epic Flight Academy.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance regarding my situation.
• Would Epic be able to accept a SEVIS transfer from the University of Arizona and issue me a Form I-20?
• Based on my current qualifications (EASA PPL(A) and FAA Private Pilot Certificate issued under 14 CFR §61.75), would I need to obtain a standalone FAA Private Pilot Certificate before beginning Instrument Rating, or do you offer a pathway for pilots with my background?
• Could you please provide an estimated timeline and tuition for completing the remaining FAA certificates (Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and CFI)?
• If I successfully complete the program and have the required legal work authorization, would there be opportunities to work as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) at Epic?

We can assist eligible students with a Student and Exchange Visitor Information System transfer and issue an M-1 student visa Form I-20 after admission, and our admissions team can evaluate your current pilot certificates to determine the appropriate training pathway. The remaining training timeline and tuition depend on your previous experience. Please note that students on an M-1 visa are not eligible to work while studying, including as a flight instructor.
