What’s the biggest plane that still flies commercial today, like the largest jet still flying passengers?

    #100345 Reply

The biggest passenger plane still flying commercially today is the Airbus A380.

Key facts about the Airbus A380:
    Height: 79 feet (24.1 meters)

    Wingspan: 261.8 feet (79.8 meters)

    Length: 238.6 feet (72.7 meters)

Maximum takeoff weight: Over 1.2 million pounds (560,000 kg)

Passenger capacity: Up to 853 in an all-economy configuration, but typically configured for 500–600 passengers in a three-class setup.

Although Airbus stopped producing the A380 in 2021 due to lower-than-expected demand, airlines like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, and Qatar Airways still operate it on long-haul routes, especially between major international hubs.
