Participant1. My mother language is actually Bangla, however I studied in Bangladesh under the British curriculum thus giving O level and A level exams. I had English first language as a subject in which I had an A, and also I have a score of 8 on my IELTS. So I was wondering if you will consider English as my first language or not? (For now in the form, I selected ‘no’, but I am pretty fluent).
2. As for the class 1 medical certificate, I gave ‘yes’ on the option section. However in fact I do not posses on. So why did I give yes? I actually knew about all the requirements of eyesight, hearing and all the extra things like ecg and bmi. So I was wondering where do I get my class 1 medical certificate from. Do I get a CAAB certified medical certificate from Bangladesh or do I have to come to US and then get one FAA medical certificate?

KeymasterHi Zawad!
Thank you for sharing those details! That’s excellent English proficiency! With an IELTS score of 8 and strong O- and A-level results in English, we can certainly recognize your fluency, even if Bangla is your mother tongue. Also, for Epic’s training, you’ll need an FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, which must be issued by an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). You don’t have to travel to the U.S. first; you can visit an FAA-authorized AME in Bangladesh to complete the exam. https://www.faa.gov/pilots/amelocator
Thank you!
