Program Overview
The Alpine Air – Epic Flight Academy Pilot Pathway Program provides Epic graduates with the opportunity to interview for pilot positions at Alpine Air Express. The program creates a clear and simple route from Epic graduation to Alpine’s Part 135 flight operations.
Program Goals
- Qualified Epic graduates are offered an interview with Alpine Air.
- Prepare candidates for Alpine’s interview and hiring process.
- Offer a straightforward pay and upgrade pathway.
Eligibility and Minimums
Baseline eligibility
- FAA Commercial AMEL with Instrument Rating
- First or Second-Class Medical
- Valid passport and U.S. work authorization
- Clean FAA record; consent to PRD/PRIA review and drug testing
Hiring minimums
- SIC (Beech 1900/99): 600 TT minimum. Candidates expected to build to 1,200 hrs. within one year for upgrade eligibility.
Selection Process
- Interview Opportunity: All eligible Epic graduates are offered an interview with Alpine Air.
- Interview: Focused on IFR proficiency, ADM, and professionalism.
- Conditional Job Offer (CJO): Issued upon successful interview, pending background checks and compliance items.
Mentorship
- Successful candidates receive an Alpine mentor after CJO.
- Mentors assist with logbook review, readiness, and class preparation.
