Hiring Requirements:

Jetstar Australia / New Zealand:

A320 First Officer / B787 Second Officer:

  • 1,500 hours total aeronautical experience
  • 500 hours PIC or FO on multi-engine
  • 250 hours PIC (may include 150 hours PICUS)
  • Hold an Australian ATPL (Part 61) or CPL with passes in all Australian ATPL subjects
  • Hold an Australian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with a 2D and 3D endorsement
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6 on your Licence
  • Current Class 1 medical certificate issued by CASA

NZ Regional Q300 Captain:

  • 4,000 hours total aeronautical experience
  • Minimum of 500 hours Pilot-In-Command (excluding ICUS) of fixed wing, multi-engine aircraft with a MTOW of 13,000kg or 1000 hours as a Co-Pilot in multi-engine turbine aircraft with a MTOW greater than 13,000kg
  • Ability to hold an Australian Air Transport Pilot License
  • English Language Proficiency Level 6 on your licence
  • Ability to hold CASA or CAANZ Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • Hold current endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a current Australian or New Zealand Instrument Rating – Multi-Engine Aeroplane

NZ Regional Q300 First Officer:

  • A current New Zealand or Australian passport
  • Ability to hold an Australian Air Transport Pilot License or Australian Commercial Pilot
  • License with passes in ATPL theory subjects or a New Zealand Commercial Pilot License with passes in ATPL theory subjects
  • English Language Proficiency Level 6 on your license
  • Hold current endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on a current Australian or New Zealand Instrument Rating – Multi-Engine Aeroplane
  • 700 hours total flying time
  • 250 hours Command multi-engine aeroplane (MEA) (excluding ICUS) or 250 hours
  • Command Single-Engine Turbine aircraft above 3000kg MTOW or 250 hours First Officer on a Multi-Engine Turbo Prop Aircraft
  • CASA or CAANZ Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate

Jetstar Japan:

A320 First Officer (non-JCAB license holder):

  • Must hold a current ATPL (ICAO/EASA/FAA)
  • ICAO level 4 or above English language proficiency
  • Current Class 1 Medical Certificate

A320 Type Rating holders:

  • 2,000 hours total aeronautical experience on fixed-wing aircraft
  • 250 hours PIC or at least 180 hours pilot in command under supervision and least 70 hours pilot in command
  • 1,000 hours on the A320 family

Non A320 Type Rating holders:

  • 3000 hours total aeronautical experience on fixed-wing aircraft
  • 250 hours PIC or at least 180 hours pilot in command under supervision and least 70 hours pilot in command
  • 1,000 hours jet time with a commercial airline

Jetstar Asia:

A320 Captain:

  • A320 Type Rated and holding an ICAO ATPL
  • Proficiency check with 6 months validity remaining
  • 6,000 minimum hours of total flying time
  • 2,000 minimum hours flown in multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft
  • 1,500 hours in command on jet
  • 500 hours total time in command on type
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings

A320 First Officer:

  • A320 Type Rated and holding an ICAO ATPL
  • Proficiency check with 6 months validity remaining
  • 1,500 minimum hours of total flying time
  • 500 minimum hours flown in multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings

Jetstar Pacific:

A320 Captain:

  • 4,000 hours total aeronautical experience (on fixed wing aircraft)
  • 500 hours PIC on A320 aircraft
  • 1,500 hours PIC on an aircraft with an MTOW over 50,000kg
  • 1,000 hours on EFIS aircraft
  • 3,000 hours on jet aircraft (commercial airline and/or multi crew operations preferred)
  • A valid A320 proficiency check (within the last 6 months)
  • Hold a valid Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with an A320 Type Rating
  • English Language Proficiency ICAO Level 4 on your License
  • Current Class 1 medical certificate
  • Successful completion of a multi-crew cooperation course or have experience in multi-crew operations.
  • Hold a current Instrument Rating
  • License verification letter from the country where your license has been issued (no older than two (2) months from application date)
  • Notarized criminal record check (no older than two (2) months from application date). Please note that this should be notarized by the Vietnamese embassy located in your local country

A320 First Officer:

  • Hold a valid Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with an A320 Type Rating
  • English Language Proficiency ICAO Level 4 on your License
  • Current Class 1 medical certificate
  • Successful completion of a multi-crew cooperation course or have experience in multi-crew operations
  • Hold a current Instrument Rating
  • 1,500 hours total aeronautical experience (on fixed wing aircraft)
  • 1,000 hours A320 Experience
  • 500 hours PIC or FO on multi-engine aircraft
