Minimum of hours: 5500 hours total time
Minimum of hours Commander: 1500 hours on position
Minimum of hours Commander: 500 hours on type
Must pass a skill test on aircraft type, according to Air Astana standards
Maximum of 55 years of age
ICAO English level 4
Must be qualified for international flights
Must possess a valid and current class 1 medical
Must have flown within the last three months on the type and have a current LPC/OPC
No criminal records and no security restrictions
Good character and good conduct
Must pass the Air Astana internal evaluation program
