Pilot License Training At Approved Flight School for Veterans

flight school for veterans

Have you ever served in the military? If so, did you know that you could start training for an exciting career as a professional pilot by using your GI Bill to help pay for the majority of your veteran flight school training?

What’s the catch?
It just so happens that almost anyone that has served in the military has GI Bill benefits to assist them in obtaining their commercial pilot license.

“We are Chapter 33 (Post 9/11) Benefits & Chapter 30 (Montgomery GI Bill) Approved”

Our US pilot school in Florida, Epic Flight Academy, is an approved  flight school for veterans that provides superior pilot training at our FAA accredited flight training institution. We take great pride in supporting our veterans and their transition back to civilian life, which is why we offer all of our military veterans a discounted price on our private pilot license training course, so long as they are enrolled in the instrument and commercial pilot license training program.

GI Bill benefits allow military veterans the opportunity to be able to learn to fly at the cost of Uncle Sam. In order for a military vet to be able to train to become a pilot, the pilot school has to be approved by the VA. If the pilot training facility is already VA approved, then all the military vet needs to do is simply request more information from all of the pilot training schools they are interested in attending, review, and enroll in the best fitting US flight school.

Veteran military pilots can also enroll with our FAA flight school for veterans. This allows the veteran to “transfer” some of their military training hours over as credit counted towards their flight training hours and FAA regulations that they may fly under.

Currently, the Montgomery GI Bill will cover upwards of 60% of our flight school curriculum for veterans that are interested in receiving their Private pilot license, Instrument rated pilot, Commercial pilot license. The Post 9/11 GI Bill is based off of time in service and can be calculated and confirmed by calling your VA Regional office.   Epic is waiting on the approval from the VA for benefits to be used to complete certified flight instructor courses for airplanes, certified flight instructor instrument rated, and the certified multi-engine flight instructor.  We look forward to the good news of this approval in the very near future!

If you are a military veteran and would like to start an exciting career as a professional pilot, please contact us immediately for more information on how you can become a pilot. We are here to assist you with answering any questions or concerns you may have- general questions, application/enrollment assistance, GI Bill questions, etc. The process of using VA benefits for flight school can be quite complex and confusing, so once again, please do not hesitate to contact our admission specialists for immediate assistance.
